How many balls complete an over?
Six valid balls. Wides and no-balls do not count among those six under MCC Law 17.
After five valid balls, does a wide finish the over?
No. The count remains five; the next valid ball is the sixth.
Can an over contain more than six deliveries?
Yes. A wide or no-ball does not count toward the six valid balls, so more deliveries may be needed.
